Stephen Youngquist

Stephen is an experienced information technology professional with over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors.  He oversees FocalPoint Financial Group’s technical operations, keeping our firm’s information systems safe, secure, reliable, and compliant with Canadian privacy laws.  

Stephen graduated top of his class from DeVry University in Fremont, California where he earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Telecommunication Management.  

Before joining the United States Department of State as an Information Management Specialist, Stephen consulted with private technology companies as a Technical Project Manager at IBM.  As a member of the US Foreign Service, he supported embassies and consulates in Chad, Belgium, Germany, and Ireland, including senior elected government officials on their foreign visits, ensuring communication systems remained operational and secure.

In addition to supporting our team at FocalPoint Financial Group, he owns an IT consulting firm in Kelowna, BC.  

In his spare time, Stephen enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and spending time enjoying the beautiful Okanagan Valley with his family.  He lives in Kelowna, BC with his wife, Lesah, and their two young children.
